  • SERV037. Forest – Forest In the deep, spirited forests near the Polar Circle, someone, or something, is making yearning sounds of loneliness on dew-covered spider web harps.

    It's the scene of the sublime: finite individuality overwhelmed by natur's limitlessness.

    But in this confrontation, subject and nature are reconciled as one. Forest’s music is art as organon – an embodyment of infinity in finitude, giving rise to an experience of the Absolute. That is why the music is utterly fragile yet strangely comforting.

    Truly enchanting.

    The artwork is playing with this romantic quest. One side is trompe l'oeil: on the vinyl record is actually printed an image of a vinyl record, allowing for the added twig and leaves. The other side is showing a forest painting found in the designer Alex’s family home.
