  • TTA’s incredible pop compositions, groundbreaking production technique, charisma and uncompromising attitude would be more than enough to guarantee their place in music history.

    However, it is on their liberating destruction of hierarchical relations between artist and audience that dissertations will be written.

    Sex Pistols’ tragic ending with ”have you ever felt that you’ve been cheated?” is only the starting point for TTA. TTA actually succeeded in momentarily subverting the spectacle at the core of capitalist culture by destroying the performer-consumer, active-passive structure and make space for true community, albeit a Dionysian one.

    And that's of course precisely why it could not, would not, be sustained in representable form: It was a true event.
